Russia Threatens Military Response

Russia Threatens Military Response

The diplomatic relationship between Russia and the United States took a turn for the worse this week. At the center of the dispute is the planned deployment of a US anti-missile system in Europe. The US claims it wants to place interceptor missiles in Poland and a radar site the Czech Republic to protect against attacks from rogue nations such as Iran. However Moscow believes the shield's true purpose is to undermine Russia's nuclear deterrent.

On Tuesday the US and the Czech Republic signed a deal to move forward with the project. The deal prompted immediate condemnation from Russia, which threatened to respond with military means. Russia's Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying: "If a US strategic anti-missile shield is deployed near our borders, we will be forced to react not in a diplomatic fashion but with military resources." Russia also claims the proposed missile shield is a "threat to its national security."

Poland has yet to sign on to the deal and, according to a Pentagon spokesman, Russia's threat was no doubt meant to discourage Poland from participating in the missile shield. Perhaps even to pressure the Czech Republic to back out of the deal. If the shield is deployed, Russia has threatened to aim its missiles at various targets in Poland and the Czech Republic.

Russia's interactions with Europe and the US have been strained for some time. Last year Russia announced its withdrawal from a key treaty regulating conventional armed forces in Europe. Russia has also threatened to pull out of its 1987 treaty with the United States banning intermediate range nuclear forces.

In recent years Russia has implemented an ambitious plan to update and expand its military. Russian defense spending has been rising steadily, with the help of high energy prices and oil revenues. Russia is in the process of deploying new intercontinental ballistic missiles, nuclear submarines and possibly aircraft carriers. It's all part of a 189 billion dollar weapons modernization program.

Political friction building between Russia and the Western World, combined with increased tensions in the Middle East, indicate that the famed battle prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39 could be on our near horizon. It is during this battle, that God will directly intercede to protect Israel from Magog and its allies. To learn more about the Magog Invasion, click on the links below.

Pentagon admits we cannot stop a russian ICBM after it is in flight.they have hi tech decoys and low heat emission engines. they have 200 with ability to put 10 nuclear warheads on each in one silo seven stories underground. they can destroy america in a couple hours. they can destroy israel in minutes. the only way to stop them is on launch. russia has offerred to help anti iran or other rogue missiles. pentagon wants anti-launch missiles nearby. russians are not stupid.

mark

There will be those who receive and don't receive the mark. Of course, whoever receives the mark are those who agree with and trust the world system, and not God's system.

THE MARK OF THE CROSS
Posted On: 07/27/08 01:19:58 PM Age 64, OH
I do not disagree that there could be an actual physical fulfillment of the prophecy about the marks. But let me ask you this; even an false believer could NOT get that mark, or get that mark. It would be easy for anyone who has read the Bible to know this prophecy and not get the chip in the hand or forehead. The scriptures clearly tell us that there will be those that do get the mark and those that don't. Will God judge us on if we get a chip or not. But certainly it would be merciful and just to judge us on the fact if are actions show the cross of Jesus and if our thoughts show the cross of Jesus. Lou

WHAT IS THE MARK ON THE FOREHEAD
Posted On: 07/26/08 10:45:21 AM Age 64, OH
When Jesus said "beware the yeast of the pharisees" He was NOT talking about bread as the disciples thought. They did not have the Holy Spirit yet, that Jesus breathed into them on Easter Sunday, so could not see at that time. Matthew 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. Matthew 13:13 This is why I speak to them in parables:Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.-- Jesus is The Word of God and speaks to us in parables all through the Bible. When Jesus speaks of a mark on the forehead of all those who grieve and mourn for the sin they see around them; He is not talking about a tattoo. This "MARK" will be evident to all that we come is contact with, therefore Jesus says the mark is on the forehead. It is the mark of the cross and everyone who grieves and laments over their sin will have this mark of the cross for all to see. When Jesus speaks on the mark on the forehead and the hand, it is not a tattoo either, but simply means that everything we do with our hands will be "marked" so to speak by the cross of the Lord Jesus. The mark on the forehead simply means that everything we think will be "marked" by the cross of Christ. Some of these things might also come in the physical and not just the spiritual. But it is the spiritual that we need to see first. By the time these signs come in the physical it will be too late for most; for even the people not seeking God will be able to see at that time. By the way, many scholars think that the Iranians, Turks, and many others came from the plains of Russia. It is NOT for us to know or even look for who will do what. The future is not for us to know. THE REVELATION is about the revelation of the Lord Jesus not about the future. We are to be looking for The Lord Jesus Christ in everything we do and think and not trying to see the future. The 1st is the one duty of the Christian and the 2nd is witchcraft. Lou

I see things somewhat different than the two above. The mark could be a chip placed in under The skin with much information on it. Your name,ss number, medical records, age, your bank account and more. This way the groc. store can deduct from your account for what you buy. The gov. can keep up with your earnings, The battle of armeg. has not happened yet, The Bible does state the nations involved in the conflict, yes Russia, China,Iran, and othern Islamic nations will come against Israel. Hope you've accepted Christ. Sincerely

Prophecy or secular insanity?
Posted On: 07/25/08 03:11:02 PM Age 61, MO
The onslaught of Gog and Magog against Israel as presented in Ezekiel 38 and 39 and in Revelation 20, is a SYMBOL of the final struggle of the godless world against the Ecclessia. The historic battle of Ezekiel 38 and 39 has already been fulfilled. "Four corners of the earth" means the whole world: that opposition to the Ecclessia will be worldwide. There is no grounds for interpreting these Revelation passages as refering to a final attack by any certain peripheral nations, such as Russia, China, Iran, or India, against the nations of western Europe, America, or Israel. There are no New Testament predictions which apply to specific present day nations. It simply describes the struggle between the Ecclessia and the world. George Cancilla

I disagree to Mr.George. most of the passages in the Bible speaks about the last days, the nature of human race culminated in to fight between the nations.otherwise why your AND MY NATIONS ACCUMULATE SO MUCH WEPONERY? BIBLE SAYS THE DESOLATIONS DETERMINED TILL THE LAST.ONLY BECAUSE OF THE TECHINGS OF SOME HERETICAL GROUPE PEOPLE TEND TO BELIEVE SO.IF BIBLE CLEARLY SAY SOME THING YOU NEED TO BELIEVE.
