Mosaic’s Nathan Neighbour: “Hundreds of Abortion Clinics Bombed!”

Mosaic’s Nathan Neighbour: “Hundreds of Abortion Clinics Bombed!”

Nathan Neighbour is on the “Creative Arts Team” at Erwin McManus’s Mosaic Church. Just how creative he can be, including with the truth, should surprise us all. I recently posted on a Muslim evangelist who wants to portray Allah as a God of love instead of beheadings and suicide bombers. The fact that 1300 years of history contradicts him, including the recent beheadings and dismemberments of Turkish Christians printing Bibles, does not come out in the London Telegraph article.

Enter the CRN.info attack site and Nathan Neighbour, contributor. Here’s how he views Christianity. He says we all live in glass houses and shouldn’t talk as Christians because we’re just as violent. He claims that “hundreds” of abortion clinics have been bombed, then there’s Fred Phelps and yes, the Crusades, and, say it with me, the Salem witch trials to prove his point.

I’m not sure what they’re teaching at Mosaic, but Erwin McManus must have a pretty dim view of fellow Christians if this is what he’s teaching. The website The Religion of Peace, freely available to Nathan Neighbour on my Slice post, documents every news account of acts of Islamic Terrorism since 9-11. I wonder if Nathan can document his claims about similar Christian attacks since 9-11. I would think that Christians sending their children with Down Syndrome as suicide bombers would have raised a few headlines here in America, at least on Fox. I missed the account of Baptists teaching their children how to strap on explosives to the Greater Glory of God. No stonings of women by Methodists or Presbyterians have been reported on our area because they were seen at a Starbucks with a men in public. There are no reports of beheadings of the rebellious at Bob Jones University that I know of. Perhaps Nathan has some information that I don’t and would be good enough to share more about this worldwide wave of Christian terrorism. Frankly, Nathan sounds like a shill for Planned Parenthood when he repeats the outrageous lie that “hundreds of abortion clinics have been bombed”. Do your own research, Nathan. Planned Parenthood has an agenda to kill the preborn for money.

Perhaps the people who frequent Mosaic need to stop doing creative things in church and start getting a little history under their belts. Instead of encouraging East Indian dance and cheese sculpting on Sunday morning, they could read about how Islam nearly took over all of Europe, changing the course of world history. They could read about the Battle of Tours, (October 10, 732) where God sent the northern Germanic tribes to stand and block the way of the Islamic warriors—a “Wall of Ice” the Saracens called them, as the Northern tribes stood with their shields and defeated them—so that God’s plan that the Gospel and Christianity would take root in the West instead of Islam would be fulfilled.

The growing slander against Christ and his Church that these emerging types are engaging in—Christianity is terrible, Christianity is violent, Christians have done nothing worthwhile, Christians don’t care about the poor—should be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Maybe those who sit on their butts while thousands of innocent babies are murdered each and every day will receive "Depart from me! I never knew you!" instead of those who are actually trying to save their lives.

While those who actually do bomb abortion clinics will recieve a "Depart from me! I never knew you!" They do so in the name of the Gospel. Worse still, how many people who claim to be Christian actually use the services of these clinics? No matter who does the survey, the figures all say the same thing. The abortion rate along with just about every othe vice of the world is little if any different within our CHurches than that of the so called "Heathens". Would you like to discuss how many bombs we have dropped in the name of Christ? For every Islamic call to kill the infidels there is a neocon christian call to bomb them in the name of our Lord. The awfull truth is that the USAF has killed more innocent civilians than all of the so called terrorist organizations combined. Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Dresdyn, Hanoi, and Hiaphong alone have topped the civilian body counts of all the so called "Islamofacists". So yes, we are living in a glass house and throwing stones. When we carpet bomb, fire bomb, atomic bomb, or cluster bomb entire cities killing civilians by the tens if not hundreds of thousands, we call it "Strategic bombing" When the enemy returns the favor, its terrorism.

Hypocrites are everywhere. Christianity is a religion of non-violence, but that won't stop false converts from killing in Jesus' name.

I find it interesting that before launching into an an attack on Mosaic, you didn't make any effort to ascertain "if" this is what they are teaching there? It's one thing to take a misinformed person to task...it's another to indirectly accuse the pastor of the church they attend as being the source of that misinformation. Mosaic allows unbelievers to participate in various aspect of creative arts etc...while you may not agree with that, it would perhaps have given you something to consider before you went after the church and the past pastor because one of the parishioners said things you didn't agree with. It's one thing to stand for truth...it's quite another to make indirect accusations without even bothering to get the whole story.

Violence in the name of religion will always be a problem

Ingrid good article I do agree with you, but I'm going to play devils advocate for a minute. I was a Marine for eight years 1997-2005. I served four combat tours and one of my first was operation fox in 1999 in the region known as Kosovo, in Kosovo I saw the worst atrocities I had ever seen in my eight years in the service (keep in mind I did a tour in afghanistan and 2 tours in Iraq). All these vile inhumane things things done to the muslim albanians at the hands of the serb christains were so grotesque I won't get into detail and still the images haunt me to this day. These murders were done not only 9 years ago, and anyone who is going to reply to this post it WAS done in the name of Christainity, a lot of christains like to site other minor issues but that was the main one especialy if you know the history of the region. With that said I'm not trying to run christainity down, a faith that I thank god for everyday. I'm simply just pointing out that religion will always have pepople doing horrible things to each other and that what these people do has nothing to do with god. Islam since its conseption has never been a religion of tolerance or peace for that matter. Christainity is all about peace. So anyone reading this stop for a second and pray for the people suffering under the Islamic religion. God Bless
