Worldview Matters with Brannon Howse

Brannon's guest is Chris Puplava of financialsense.com and their topics include: 1). CNBC financial wizards tell us on August 5th that the commodities bull market is over and it is time to sell, sell, sell. Really? When did the government fix inflation, the banking crisis and our 53 trillion dollar debt? When did the government stop printing money like nuts to pay our nation's bill? 2). The feds have not been honest. Chris explains the hard data that reveals America has been in a recession since the last quarter of 2007. 3). The feds like to go back a quarter and re-do the numbers. In other words, when the news is bad, they cover it up and then when the quarter passes they print the real figures. 4). What will it take for Americans to realize the government is not the solution but the problem? 5). What can those with money do to get ready for hard times? 6). Why oil is going to go back up. 7). What can people do that are living pay check to pay check to get ready?

The Moses Code Movie Blasphemy and The Big Shift

The Moses Code Movie Blasphemy and The Big Shift

Update: Since this article was published, the original movie trailer for the Moses Code was removed without explanation from both YouTube and the MosesCode.com website. They have replaced the original with a different one that does not contain the blasphemous, “I AM” statements referred to in this column. I look forward to their explanation as to why they felt they needed to remove it.

A movie will be unveiled on April 5 that should get a prize for honesty in blasphemy. Unlike the emerging church celebrity authors and speakers who shuck and jive when asked direct questions about God, salvation, and truth, The Moses Code is produced by those who will tell you right out what they believe. What they do believe is breathtaking in its Satanic audacity. In the original movie trailer, now removed mysteriously from YouTube and the MosesCode.com site, promoters of The Moses Code cheerfully announce that I AM is something all of us can say. Towards the end of the original clip, one young man looks up and into the camera and tells viewers, I am the way, the truth, and the ‘light’.” The website says the following:

For the first time a major spiritual film release is being combined with a worldwide prayer vigil focused on shifting the planetary consciousness.

Join millions of people from every corner of the globe in learning the most powerful manifestation tool in the history of the world. Then on one momentous day we'll use the code to promote peace and compassion for all beings through over 1000 gatherings worldwide.

This is the chance for humanity to use the Law of Attraction to create peace on the deepest level.

Coming on the heels of The Secret, the New Spirituality teachers featured in The Moses Code are in hopes that by teaching everyone about the power of declaring themselves God, they can help along the “Shift” in planetary consciousness that everyone is talking about today.

The Shift is the name of another movie under production featuring New Spirituality gurus like Deepak Chopra and Marianne Williamson, alongside leftist environmentalists like Al Gore and religious figures such as Archbishop Desmond TuTu. Their message is the same, as though it was taken from the same script.

“A massive worldwide phenomenon is in progress, offering seeds of great hope for the future…We are in the middle of the biggest social transformation in history, THE SHIFT.”

Working on the Evangelical end of things, emergent author Brian McLaren is also promoting a Big Shift, calling his nationwide tour, The Deep Shift Conference. A heretic who does not believe in hell and who rejects the penal substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, McLaren is taking his Shift Experience to Willow Creek Community Church in April where he will be teaching youth workers and pastors from evangelical churches across the country about how they need to change their ministries to accommodate the Big Shift in thinking.

Emergent authors Phyllis Tickle and Tony Jones are also on board promoting a big spiritual shift. They prefer to call it the “Great Emergence”. Speaking at the Zondervan sponsored National Pastor’s Convention this week, Phyllis and Tony have titled their speech, not surprisingly, “The Great Emergence.”

What is emerging is another Jesus and another gospel. The Big Shift that all of the New Spirituality gurus are buzzing about marks the advent of the worldwide apostasy that is now upon us. Just as the Lord assigns roles to fulfill in His Church, the enemy assigns roles for his purposes. Over the two decades of researching the New Spirituality teachers and the inroads they have made into evangelical churches, it is evident to me that deception comes in many forms today on many different levels. Whether it is the spiritual bubble gum from Joel Osteen that serves to deceive the shallow masses or whether it’s the quasi-intellectual postmodern poison served up to college students by men like McLaren, Rob Bell, Tony Jones, Doug Pagitt, Dan Kimball and so many others, it’s all deception working towards the same end.

It is one thing to identify the counterfeit Christ of Marianne Williamson or the latest New Age author on the Oprah Winfrey Show (Eckhart Tolle is her latest protégé ), but what happens when authors published by the big “Christian” publishers are saying the same things? What happens when our celebrity emerging church leaders are using the same language, calling for the same things, and promoting the same false doctrines that redefine Christ and the Scriptures as the New Spirituality authors?

Compare these two quotes. One is from a popular emerging author and speaker who spoke at a conference with men like Andy Stanley and Rick Warren and regularly rubs shoulders with those in the new Evangelicalism. The other quote is from one of the world’s leading New Spirituality heretics. Can you tell which is which?

Quote 1

“The first of these five untheorized observations is that New Light embodiment means to be “in connection” and ‘in-formation’ with other Christians. Deeper feeling and higher relating go together. The church is fundamentally one being, one person, a comm-union whose cells are connected to one another within the information network called the Christ consciousness. New Lights offer up themselves as the cosmions of a mind-of-Christ consciousness. As a cosmion incarnating the cells of a new body, New Lights will function as transitional vessels through which transforming energy can renew the divine image in the world, moving postmoderns from one state of embodiment to another.”

Quote 2

'Third Jesus' can be seen only when we move into a new human awareness that will carry us beyond tribe, prejudice and even beyond our religious systems. As a Christian, I welcome his insights into my Jesus and his provocative call to me to enter the 'Christ Consciousness' and thus to become more deeply and completely human.".

The first quote is from emerging author Leonard Sweet who spoke at the Catalyst Conference in Atlanta, attended by thousands of evangelical leaders from across the nation. It’s from his book, Quantum Spirituality, in which he thanks New Agers Willis Harmon, Matthew Fox and Ken Wilbur, to name a few, for their influence on him. The second quote is from John Shelby Spong, in a book endorsement for Deepak Chopra’s brand new book, The Third Jesus, which is a brazen introduction of the cosmic Christ of the Big Shift everyone is talking about. Both authors are talking about the same Christ-consciousness. They are describing the same thing—one from inside of evangelicalism, one from outside.

Both popular author Rob Bell and occultist/New Spirituality teacher, Barbara Marx Hubbard, speak of being co-creators with God. Bell tells us in his latest Nooma video, “Open”, that creation is unfinished and that God needs us to be fellow creators with Him to finish the job.

…we have to understand that Jesus took very seriously the creation poem Genesis, that the Bible begins with. And in this creation poem God creates, but God creates things that are capable of creating more, and so God creates trees but then gives trees the ability to create more. God creates animals and plants and fish but then empowers them to create more. And then God creates people, and gives them the ability to create more. So everything in creation is essentially unfinished, God leaves the world unfinished, and invites people to take part in the ongoing creation of the world…

Hubbard’s occult “Christ” in her channeled book, The Revelation, instructs us about our participation as co-creators of the world.

"Those of you who hear these words are to carry on the commandment given to John two thousand years ago. You are not only to prophesy the end, the tribulations, and the New Jerusalem, you are to act it out. You are to discover the blueprint and become co-creators with God. You are to see the first fruits of the NEW BEGINNING."

Yes, there is a Big Shift underway. The two spheres that were once irreconcilably opposed to one another, (Evangelicalism and New Spirituality) are coming together. The overlap has begun. But millions of evangelical Christians in the pews are distracted. They haven’t researched these issues. They don’t know their Bibles. They accept without question whatever Zondervan or Thomas Nelson put out. They watch the DVD’s their church screens like Rob Bell’s Nooma videos and they don’t catch the language. It is slippery. It is subtle, but the enemy is getting bolder with each passing day. There is a lack of sobriety and vigilance, and now the enemy is walking boldly in the front doors of our churches and Christian colleges.

At bottom, the New Spirituality blasphemers like the producers of  The Moses Code are more honest than the emergents when they state openly that they believe they are the way, the truth and the life. At its core, their message is the same as many within the emerging “conversation”. The Bible is not a product of “Divine fiat”, Rob Bell says, “it’s a human product.” (Christianity Today, 11/1/04) The end result? We become God in our own minds. We can make things up as we go. Where does it all end? Rob Bell ends up promoting doctrines of demons---that we are co-creators with God, or rejecting the existence of hell, or the atonement, like Brian McLaren. That’s where it all ends. When you abandon a high view of Holy Scripture, your rebellion will take you places you never dreamed you would go. At some point, God blinds those who willingly believe a lie.

With the full counsel of God in our hands, we are without excuse if we choose to participate in the Big Shift. The Shift is here, but those who serve the risen, ascended and glorified Lord Jesus Christ will stay separate. They will reject the anti-Christ doctrine of “oneness” of the New Spirituality and they will stay faithful at all costs.

The Fruit of the Tree
Posted On: 06/01/08 03:03:59 PM Age 49, PA
I am a Christian but I have also studied some New Age thoughts. I do not beieve everything as they do, but Christians don't have it right either. The label "Christianity" is static, while what it represents is not. Christianity HAS CHANGED as human consciousness has changed. Have we forgotten the Crusades? And how many Christians at one time believed it was Okay to "own slaves"? God gave us the institution of marriage and yet look at the divorce rate. Is God's gift of marriage imperfect? Or is how we currently understand it imperfect? Every time man raises his level of consciousness, the Bible is understood on a deeper level. At this time, I much prefer spending my time with New Age people. They are more globally aware, more loving and less selfish than their Christian counterparts. Jesus says you can tell a tree by the fruit it bears. When is the last time a call went out to Christians to pray for peace? Too many Christians talk the talk but do not walk the walk and it is this very hypocricy that is turning people to the New Age Movement where they are walking the walk that Christians should be. Some of the beliefs of the New Age movement do not conflict with Christianity at all but instead, offer a deeper understanding of what Christ was saying. gently, laura

judge not.

"judge not lest ye be judged" -Christ. This New spirituality that is submerging as it seems upon the earth is not necessarily a "bad" thing, good and bad are relitave terms of course and i speak within a specific context here. I mean when you look at the present shape the world at large is in one cant help but think, is there another way? i mean take the starvation, the rape, the murder, the kids fighting in wars most of which are under the age of 18 to be quite specific the youngest ever recorded was 7. And these are just the tip of the ice burg. Is there another way? really? most of the worlds religions or at least the popular ones operate under this theology of philosophy that says's "God is here and we are there" or vis versa. Teachings such as this are the reason for most of the worlds problems, because with the idea that we are seperate from God, the idea is born that we are separate from each other, as these ideas grow and begin to mature we act as though we are separate from each other and ultimately separate from God. For example we "humans as a whole" act very very selfishly, its all about me as some say. Christ said Seek ye first the Kingdom of God (mathew6:33) it must have stunned the people when he turned around and said The Kingdom of God is Within you (Luke17.) The idea that God is one with us, and that we are not separate could actually help us even if only a little, maby we would treat each other with more respect, maby we would stop killing each other in Gods name, maby we would stop acting as though all that mattered was US. We are all One, the theology of separation is what is killing us. Judge not lest ye be judged, rather than judge seek to change that which you do not agree with.

well i must say for what ive been reading, tolerance is definately not one of the strong points in these arguements. i just want to say that eastern meditation practices and yoga have been around much longer than christianity. I am a yoga teacher and ive found the beauty of yoga is that it can work with all faiths, it teaches you to live in the present moment, which can bring you closer to your chosen faith. so maybe instead of bashing these other practices maybe embrace them and just acknowledge them in the world, maybe you too can learn something about treating people equally.

  1. Research, Research, Research

Good article. I highly respect the pros and cons on the subject matter. I'm a strong spiritual believer in the BIBLE and try my best to live it. I come across a lot of NAM's (New Age Movement", NTM's "New Thought Movement" or anything alike. and I'm amazed to see that most of them don't take the time to do their research on the BIBLE and what it says. It's understandable! Religion separates and has corrupted the human mind. So I can relate to them, much love. But GOD in the BIBLE is not a religion. Think about it! The Secret, Moses Code, Laws of attraction,or anything that mentions GOD or JESUS. All this stuff is coming out of the BIBLE. If so much POWER is coming out it's translations, then that only confirms that the BIBLE is REAL. Wouldn't you want to read it and find out for yourself where these Spiritual GURU's are getting their information. The Bible has many more secrets, it takes GOD's spiritual guidance to find them. Jesus had them ALL!!! ask him!!!!

Let Go and Let God
Posted On: 04/16/08 11:31:38 AM Age 37, VA
I grew up in a Pentecostal Spirit filled church and in spite of all the sermons, prayer vigils, and the like, God still seemed like a fable and a million miles away from me some 25-years later. It wasn't until I stumbled across the Law of Attraction and other (what some would consider) new age doctrines that God became very real to me. I don't accept anything as "Gospel" but doesn't the Bible say "seek and ye shall find"? I'm pretty positive it doesn't say, "seek within only the Christian Faith and ye shall find". Why do you think that millions of people are flocking to "new age" doctrines? Perhaps it's because the "Church" (on the whole) has done a horrible job of communicating the Love of God and the Humanity of Christ.

Giving us hope
Posted On: 04/08/08 11:21:31 PM Age 25, CA
as a young spiritual person, NOT religious, it gives me great pride that others stand in the name of G_D no matter what their DENOMINATION is. We are all part of the SAME church, planet, and body of G_D. religion and our PERSONAL beliefs, not G_D's, has killed more people than anything in the world. These teachers from the moses code and other movies alike are not seeking to be blasphemous against G_D but to give glory on all He has to give us and everyone who calls his name. whether it be G_D or Alla or his other Hebrew names. So Before we pour our blasphemic tendencies on the rest of the world we should ask, What Would Jesus Do? really think about it? Separate yourself from the humanity that binds us all and see that he would offer compassion, love, harmony, acceptance, tolerance and even death for peace & G_d...........so we should ask remind ourselves that their is no right or wrong way to pray, love, praise, & worship the almighty creator. Just remember that we all are human and on the same level from the prophets, the writers of the bible, to even the priests who molest children.....we all come from the same place. Maybe that should help us have compassion and spread peace through the masses. Sending you love, kindness, gratitude, & love. Frankie Mazon

Thank You Father

Thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This must be our prayer without ceasing. 2 things: number 1; here’s the kicker, they don't believe in the bible in entirety and yet they take one maybe two truths out of the word and build a whole doctrine on them while throwing the rest out. This is crazy!! If you want the truth take the whole truth and allow your life to be changed. Number 2; the only way the subverters of the truth can get this far is because we who know the truth have not lived it and spoken it simultaneously-I mean the whole thing. Jesus Christ lived the word and spoke the word. This article points to the deception but does not point to the action (it is the love of God that draws men unto repentance-the woman at the well). Change the world through living his word (and I don’t mean piety-often used to make people feel badly about themselves) and not just talking about how someone else is not living his word (they are in darkness and don’t know how) we are supposed to show them. We tend to criticize our neighbor instead of loving him (we love through caring for them-not judging them). All that being said, I am truly thankful for your sobering viewpoint. A customer of mine mentioned the Moses code to me this weekend and I told her I would look do some research regarding it. She is not a Christian and is frequently coming up a new way to follow the same old deception (you can become as gods) spoken to the first man and woman. Thanks again. Let us pray; Thy kingdom come thy will be done!!

God is in us
Posted On: 04/06/08 08:03:56 PM Age 65, TX
You can call God anything you want, but there is still only one God (Creator) and He is invisible...an unseen force until He is manifested through something or someone we can see. We (all humans born on earth)can not have come from anyone but God so we are His offspring. Like our Daddy, we do create... with words, thoughts, actions...sometimes good, sometimes bad. He trains or punishes in order to bring about good behavior as any good parent does. I don't know of any human father that we would not punish or annihilate who tortured or killed most of his children and kept birthing them knowing he would have to torture the majority because they refused to go by His rules. Our heavenly Father loves unconditinally and He has a means of bringing all His children into obedient loyalty in one age or another of eternity. Of course God is in us..Jesus prayed this in John 17. If we allow God to manifest through us, as us, He will create good things because God is good.

Do not live in fear!
Posted On: 04/02/08 06:00:18 AM Age 52, CANADA
Any spirutality or religion that is based on truth has nothing to fear as it will be revealed. It always amazes me how much fear comes out of change, change is a natural part of life! As I read about "The Moses Code" it reminded me of how Jesus (a new age person at the time) was punished for supporting the truth and giving the people an opportunity to change. Is attaining harmony and peace on our planet such a bad thing and doesn't that bring us even closer to GOD. As it says "THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE" and God bless all of us who are ready for a change through the grace of God!

The Moses Code Movie Blasphemy and The Big Shift
Posted On: 03/27/08 06:05:11 PM Age 51, CANADA
I feel complacency (head in the sand syndrome) is yet another tool of Satan. Anti-Christ "Doctrines of Devils" must be addressed and countered by the Church body. Some innocent souls may fall prey to the slippery slopes of new age-ism simply because there was no one to stand up for the truth! I cheer and salute all those who are brave enough to declare truth at any cost.

I am grateful
Posted On: 03/25/08 08:23:56 AM Age 41, TX
I would like to begin by saying that I am so very grateful to live in the USA, where is is our constitutional right to worship in any way we choose....That is what this is all about - choice. I am grateful for your opinions regarding the New Thought movement (Actually, it is not so new)...A am also grateful to be able to form my own opinion(s)... I would not worry, no one involved in the filming of " The Moses Code" is likely to force anyone to endorce or embrace this philosophy.... I am a long-time student of the Bible ... I will definately see this film...I am sure to have an opinion about it... I suppose my real questions are: Is it so impossible for organizations to agree to dissagree on these subjects? Why do we find it necessary to post articles of hate on the internet about a film that none of us have even viewed yet? I am quite certain that the makers of "The Secret" and "The Moses Code" had the highest and best intentions in mind when making this film...I thank them for that. I also thank you for your time and I am sincere when I say...I am grateful for the good in your life.
