A loving Christian brother just emailed me and said, “Man-o-man. There are some bitter, furious, Christian hatin' bloggers out there!!!” I told him that he is seeing comparatively nice ones. I delete the bad blogs. He’s right though. Some of the atheists that are part of this blog are pretty nasty. So, I have decided to return a bit of the fire (in love, of course).
My new theory is that perhaps atheists evolved from the chicken, because they not only have chicken characteristics--a head, eyes, mouth, skin, neck, heart, earlobes and legs (homology structures), but they also have the chicken’s tendencies--they are chicken livered. They hang around Christians like annoying little bugs hang around light, trying to inject their poison whenever they can.
If you are an atheist, I hope I’m ruffling your feathers. I want to get under your skin and ask why you don’t have the courage to even whisper to Moslems what you keep shouting at Christians. Prove me wrong. Get onto a Moslem website and tell them that you don’t believe their god exists. Do your little “I don’t believe in Zeus” thing. Tell them they believe a myth. Talk about Mohammed as you do Jesus (use lower case for Mohamed). Do your “I don’t believe in the flying spaghetti monster” thing. Tell them that we weren’t made by a god (lower case), but that they evolved from primates (that will go down well). Also, let them know in no uncertain terms that the Koran is full of mistakes (give some examples), and that their mosques are full of hypocrites.
You wouldn’t dare, because you are chicken-livered. You know that they are not like Christians. Despite the “anonymity” of your little chicken coop, they would come after you to lop off your head. And when they find you, you would fall on your knees and be praying to God for help, quicker than I can move a fly swat . . . and I'm pretty quick. So, think about what you are doing, and think about how much you value your life. Then think about what we are telling you. Think.

I've spent so much time painstakingly going over much biblical, scientific data sharing pages & pages of material including articles about many many ex-evolutionist scientists leaving their previously dearly held darwinism beliefs even and why they left it.This I did patiently and kindly without repaying insults ect, only to be viciously insulted & repeatedly verbally abused these past few mos. on another site/app called "Does God Exist?" All this to say I think I tossed pearls before swine & gave what is holy to the dogs. The worse Atheists (i tried )to converse with were the so called 'ex Christians' I think it best to just pray for them it truly was a huge waste to bother. It's kind of funny how they prove your argument with their comments on this article, all the while proclaiming (!) they don't verbally attack us. Atheism is nothing more than an excuse to live a Godless life style. Evolution is a theory that can not (as has already been admited to by numerous scientist, Christian and non-Christian) work. But they cling to it, because the only other explaination, the one that make perfect sense and is in harmony with nature, would mean that they are wrong, and means that they must also acknowledge there is a Creator. And they'll never do that. Well, not in this world anyway. They don't get it that their rantings and ravings against God, the Bible, and those of us who believe it, is proof itself that we are right. They play right into the enemies hands, pawns and play things. Sadly, the joke will be on them in the end. I don't get angry or all ruffled up when they start spouting their godless rhetoric. It's affirmation that I'm on the right track. To me, to argue with them is a pointless waste of time. They use the same tired old arguments that have been thoroughly refuted time and time again. Satan doesn't have much of an imagination, clearly. Not only that, the detractors here missed your point completely I think. And I believe that is that few, very few, people will verbally attack Islam and expose it. However, on the other hand, Christianity is a constant favored target, which itself again, is prophetic. They are too blind decieved and self absorbed to see and realize that every time they open their mouth against Christians, the Bible, God, or Christianity (true fundamental Bible Christianty), they are fulfilling prophecy. Ray... you are very fond of point out that there is no such thing as 'atheist morality'. You are quite right, you know... there IS NO SUCH THING as 'atheist morality.
It is very clever and observant of you to have noticed that.
Now... let me ask you... have you ALSO been clever enough to notice that there is no such thing as atheist philosophy?... atheist beliefs?... atheist dogma?... atheist faith?... atheist agenda?
'Atheist' is just the name that delusionists (religious people) have decided to apply to those sane and rational people who ARE NOT so gullible and stupid as to actually 'believe' that your stories about invisible, magical, all-powerful, supernatural sky fairies (gods) are really 'true'.
In other words, the people who you refer to as 'atheists' are, for the most part, just those rare people who are actually capable of 'critical thinking'... which is a prerequisite to possessing a functional BS alarm.... and christianity cannot get past a functional BS alarm.
You seem to want people to believe that up until the time that 'christianity' hatched, nobody had any idea of how to cooperate and behave and get along among other people. Wow... what a revelation. So... that must mean that the torture, murder, genocide and general killing of tens of millions of people that's been done in the name of god and Jesus was... 'moral'. Wow... I never realized that.
Here's something that you might want to think about... 'belief' is the ILLUSION of knowledge... a lame and pathetic SUBSTITUTE for knowledge. That means that when you are faced with not 'knowing' something, you do not take the only sane, rational and logically justifiable intellectual position that is available to you... that being: "I don't know." Instead, you trick yourself (or let others trick you) into thinking that you DO know, by the all-encompassing expediency of declaring: "God did it"... thus relieving yourself of the onerous chore of having to think for yourself.
It is ironic that you chose to end your post with the word 'think'... a concept which is obviously quite alien to you.
You ought to look up the logical fallacy known as the "Argument from Incredulity', a.k.a 'The Divine Fallacy'. It should be instructive.
Anyway... you are operating under the misconception... the false impression... that atheists are attacking christianity. But that is true only by implication, as we shall presently see. It IS NOT 'atheists' who are doing the griping. 'Atheists' have no axe to grind. They're just sane, rational people who have functional BS alarms. They just don't believe your god-stories. That's it... that's all... finis... end of story. Done with atheists.
So... now that we have dispensed with those pesky, annoying atheists... we come around to highly intelligent, well educated, sane, rational and critically thinking people. They... as a rule... tend to look with disfavor and scorn upon gullibility, irrationality, willful ignorance, self-deception, self-delusion, intellectual dishonesty, lies, hypocrisy and drooling stupidity. Many of these people feel that it their ethical duty and moral responsibility to confront ANY of those insults to the human intellect, human dignity and the human condition whenever, wherever and however they encounter them. It just so happens (coincidentally, of course) that religion... particularly the Abrahamic death-cults of desert monotheism (Judaism, Islam, Christianity)... embody most or all of those dubious 'qualities' into one neat and tidy package (with a bow on top), where they can be confronted all at once.
Confronting religion, then... serendipitously (as a happy incident)... becomes a simple matter of efficiency. Highly intelligent, well educated, sane, rational and critically thinking people... generally speaking... LIKE efficiency.
In summary... atheists are simply people who do not believe in invisible, magical, all-powerful, supernatural sky-fairies (gods). That is all.... that is the ONLY thing that defines atheists. So... taking issue with religion is NOT an 'atheist thing'... rather, it is a 'sane and rational' thing. People just get blinded and distracted by the peculiar and eerie coincidence that the vast majority of highly intelligent, well educated, sane, rational and critically thinking people ALSO happen to be atheists.

Islam is just about where christianity was 500 years. Then came the Enlightenment and the Age of Reason. It is during that period that secular humanist thought emerged... radical satanic ideals such as 'human rights', and the 'freedom of speech', and heretical notions like 'freedom of religion'.
As a consequence of these new humanistic ideas, christianity LOST the godly political power which had allowed them... over the course of the preceding 1,200 years... to simply torture and kill anybody who dared to espouse... or even let on that they were THINKING... non-biblical (i.e., heretical) ideas. Dawkins is hardly a chicken. He showed up to a hostile environment (well at least unsympathetic), to advocate a position Christians simply refuse to consider.
Clearly the producers just want to build hype within the religious community because they realize the reviews are going to tear it apart. Then the true believers -- who've been told by their pastors how important this fim is -- can claim to be under attack by the "leftist atheists" again.
Sorry but that's the "Chicken."

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but it will take a much better argument than the ones I've seen here to bother me in any way.

Well, if I personally don't, it's because I don't have the occasion to debate with many Muslims, and when I do, the topic is usually not religion.

Somehow, I expected more from this post. I didn't really know what to expect, as this is my first visit to this site, but I can say that I'm rather used to better arguments from Christians against atheists. And where I come from, let's just say that if I consider their arguments better, you have much work to do.
I mean, seriously. If the best thing you can think of to say to discredit atheists is to insult their intelligence with personal attacks, then you don't even deserve my time.
But, since I have nothing better to do this morning, I figure I'll work this out bit by bit.
