It’s bad enough there is so much hate in the world. We don’t need people going out and creating phony hate crimes as well. But there seems to be a rash of it, especially on college campuses.
The one that got lots of attention this fall took place at GeorgeWashingtonUniversity. Students awoke to a campus blanketed with posters that blared: “HATE MUSLIMS? SO DO WE!!” The posters depicted a “typical Muslim” with “lasers in eyes” and “venom from mouth” and a “suicide vest” and “peg leg for smuggling children and heroin.”
The poster said it was an advertisement for Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week sponsored by the Young America’s Foundation in conjunction with David Horowitz’s FreedomCenter. Well the president of the YAF chapter was brought before the inquisition and asked to explain the posters.
But he could not. His group didn’t put the posters up. In fact, if someone in the administration had read the small print, they would have seen that they were put up by a group called “Students for Conservativo-Fascism Awareness” and posted a link to an antiwar video on the Internet. The posters were an attempt to mock conservative students on campus. Seven left-wing students admitted responsibility the next day and were shocked that some didn’t understand that they were trying to vilify conservative students.
In the past there have been a racial epithets written on the walls of Old Miss and a supposed “Say Yes to Racism.” Turned out those were done by black students. And racial and anti-Semitic messages were scrawled on the walls of a college in Ohio. But administration dropped the matter when it turned out that they were written by a group of left-wing students led by a Black Studies major.
Students will often do immature and even hurtful things to get attention. But I would recommend that university administrations and the media at least wait 24 hours before reacting. Many of these stunts turn out to be nothing more than phony hate crimes. I’m Kerby Anderson, and that’s my point of view.

The media has a double standard and is two faced. Black rap artist call women HO'S and female dogs many times on one CD. Yet the black women, Al Sharpton and Oprah say nothing about it. Yet these same women buy these rap CD's. I do not support Inus or whatever his name is but this man says the same words in good humor and they call for his death. A poor 56 year old school teacher allows the CHILDREN OF MUSLIMS ( who raised these children) to call a teddy bear Mohammad and they literally call for her death. People went to her aid but were hypocrites. They apologized and said she did not mean any insult. She had every right to speak against Mohammad, even though she did not. The same people who were calling for her death name their own children Mohammad. College computers are polluted with porn, even to those who do not want it. They site free press. But leave someone put up a poster of a truthful picture of a radical Muslim and everyone cries HATE CRIME. I would not have put these posters up and think they were in poor taste. But the people had as much right to put them up as the ones who put the porn on the computer. I have every right to criticize Mohammad, and it is correct in every way to do so. Mohammad was only a very deceived man who is now in his grave. He thought himself great so he deceived himself. He thought he had the right to kill others just for disagreeing with him. The reason the Muslims kill those who would dare criticize Mohammad is that they know he is in the grave and can not now punish anyone who speaks against him. Mohammad and Allah are powerless to punish anyone for speaking against Islam. This means the radical Muslims have to punish those who speak against Islam, for if they do not they will go unpunished. I wonder what happened to those black students that did these hate crimes? I don't remember seeing them dragged through the media and talked bad about. I sure don't remember Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the NAACP or any Black Reverend wanting them to be severly punished and imprisioned. I don't remember hearing from the Jewish groups in outrage either. Come to think of it, have you ever heard of hate crime charges filed against a black, even when it was an admitted hate crime by the black(s)? I wonder what would have been said if whites had done this? Why it would have been all over the secular news, world wide, and the christian media if it were whites. Of course it is in the Christian arena that whites are hated the most. Even the white christians hate whites and want to see them exterminated. Christianity with it's Christian television stations and magazines are no more about Jesus Christ and the bible. They are just an on going extension of the secular civil rights movement.
