To anti-Huck rock throwers

To anti-Huck rock throwers

Christians sat it out in 2006 to "teach Republicans a lesson." But we've been taught well what happens when we stay home on Election Day. In case you've forgotten, here's a three-point refresher course:

  1. We've got hate crimes hanging over our heads like a guillotine. The Criminalization of Christianity stalled in Congress only to make the promised presidential veto tougher to carry out since it's attached to critical resources for our troops.

  2. The so-called Employment Non-Discrimination Act, or ENDA, which results in "the ENDA religious freedom" in the workplace stalled only because they want to force cross-dressers into businesses who don't want Bruce to come to work wearing lipstick and stilettos.

  3. Then we have a Senate Foreign Relations Committee that just passed the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) 17 to 4, which would turn over our oceans – three-fourths of our planet – to U.N. control complete with a U.N. world tax. Why would anyone other than Nicholas Carpathia (the Antichrist in the "Left Behind" series) want such a thing?

(Column continues below)

To respond to these assaults, see the three bullets below:

  1. Call the president and ask him to veto so called "hate crimes" (and ENDA) – 202-456-1414.

  2. Call your congressional representative at 202-224-3121 to stop the Employment Non-Discrimination Act so you won't be forced out of business.

  3. Call your two senators at 202-224-3121 and urge them to stop the Law of the Sea Treaty, which mandates U.N. global taxation and control.

Are you sick of it? Sick of making calls just so we won't go to jail, lose our businesses and be forced to pay a global U.N. tax? Me too.

I suggest we do something pro-active about it. Gov. Mike Huckabee, who answered all of those issues right at the Values Voter Presidential Debate, has also never wavered on critical issues of life, marriage and the courts. He answered the toughest questions from pro-family leaders 100 percent right on Sept. 17 – including those on the North American Union and on immigration. Against all odds, he is now a "tier one" candidate – the only one who stands unwavering for life, marriage, freedom and the kind of judges we need on the courts.

Look, you can continue to throw rocks from the sidelines, but you know what I don't see from any of the rock throwers? A solution. You can resign yourself to playing defense for the rest of your life, or you could do something proactive now.

I know of no other front-runner other than Mike Huckabee who will champion our causes of life, marriage, freedom and the courts. Here are the unacceptable alternatives:

  • Mayor Rudy Giuliani: wrong on the Marriage Protection Act and wrong on the Sixth Commandment: "Thou shalt not kill."

  • Gov. Mitt Romney: Beyond his abysmal judicial appointments (including naming homosexual activists to the courts even AFTER his conversion on every major issue), he's wrong on something even more basic: the Apostle's Creed. The creed all Christians believe states: "I believe "… in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary …" Romney, as a Mormon, doesn't believe Jesus was God's only Son (Lucifer, they claim, was his "brother"). Nor does he believe in the virgin birth. Instead, Mormons believe God the Father had physical sex with Mary. The word blasphemy comes to mind. A bit more than a mere "denominational difference," don't you think?

  • Sens. Fred Thompson and John McCain: both wrong on the Marriage Protection Act that would keep states from redefining our most basic institution. Both have since turned their backs on the Terri Schiavos of the world.

  • Rep. Ron Paul: In addition to being against the Marriage Protection Act, Paul is an evolutionist who wouldn't protect the Terri Schiavos of the world from a starvation death because our Founding Fathers never thought to enumerate it in the Constitution. He also wants to legalize drugs and prostitution but wouldn't enforce obscenity violations. Don't believe me? See for yourself at ValuesVoterDebate.com.

  • Hunter, Tancredo and Keyes are all great guys whose campaigns have no traction.

"Teach 'em a lesson"? Did we learn nothing from 2006? Read the three bullets above to see the result of that "strategy." Make the same mistake again, and those bullets will be aimed at you.

Put down the rocks and be a part of the solution: Go to www.MikeHuckabee.com and make the most generous donation you can now. Or don't complain when you're sent to jail, lose your business and are forced to pay a global U.N. tax.

We have one more chance to get our country and our courts back, and only one candidate we can count on to do it: Gov. Mike Huckabee – the solution to the issues we care most about.

Wow ... so this is what a Ron Paul spam attack looks like. Name-calling, accusing everyone else of being a fraud, and threatening legal action against Janet Folger for pointing out the truth -- that Ron Paul is a libertarian and would, in fact, legalize drugs, release laws on pornography (which is an interstate issue, and therefore proper federal territory), and would accept all forms of "alternative" marriage. This is all based on his public statements. But he's the only real Christian running, I'm told? Thanks again, Janet, for everything that you do. Thankfully, although Ron Paul's supporters are rabid, they are but few in number.

Thanks to Janet for this article. I am "chiming in" with my support for Governor Huckabee (a God-led man who has my prayers and support for his quest for the Presidency). Ron Paul supporters are very "loud" here - as they also were at the Iowa Straw Poll. (Btw, Gov. Mike beat Ron Paul then and is still leading Paul and the other candidates, except one, in Iowa.) Despite the "shouting" Paul is not the candidate that appeals to me. He doesn't come out as clearly pro-family and pro-life. I hope more Christians will look at and prayerfully consider Mike Huckabee and then get behind his candidacy. He is humble, genuine and bold in his faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. I have watched Gov. Mike since the mid-1990s and know that he has done a great deal of good for the people of Arkansas. In general, he was popular with both Republicans and Democrats. I believe that God has blessed Mike with the opportunity and ability to serve his fellow man through public office. Although Mike Huckabee doesn't have the most money, fame or even the loudest supporters, I believe God is raising him up to lead (i.e. Daniel).

The author needs to research the background of the "Huckster." The man has not been the consistent conservative she seems to think he is. Getting elected twice as Governor is not a reliable indication of what the man is, unless you see a politician as being consistent. Sorry, the temptations to temporize and trim are too great in the office he occupied. He really wasn't any better as AR Gov than Clinton was, with taxes and all the other trappings of "big government" rising just as much. Ask Phyllis Schalfly about the man sometime. It will be quite enlightening. Folger is the one proposing a non-solution. The victim bill she hands someone criticizing her choice is simply a red herring. She has made a bad choice, a very bad choice. If she won't listen to the voices telling her so, then that's too bad for her. But, if you want to get into the arena you should expect to be shot at. Don't complain when it happens, that's for leftists, not adults.

Your position on this matter is interesting, Mrs. Folger. Have you read Ms. Mercer's and Mrs. Schlafly's observations about Gov. Huckabee here? (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58592) Andyou might want to refrain in future from making exaggerated, unsubstantiated, and/or false statements about people with an intent toward their detriment. Not only is it an actionable tort, but it's also bearing false witness. I wouldn't want to see a sister in Christ get in trouble, y'know.--Mrs. Pilgrim

Do Not equate the freedom message of Dr. Paul with so called endorsements of sin like homosexuality, pornography, prostitution. He would not use the FEDERAL government to enforce laws against things that it is not authorized to do under the Constitution. Namely things like the aforementioned. I myself read this and it is the truth under our LAW, the Constitution. Ron Paul is not against state laws for all these immoral things directly, but does hold certain views about drugs and other things, but as President he knows that it would not be in his authority to ban or promote them with laws. You are the one throwing rocks at a very misunderstood good man. Huckabee on the other hand is not so conservative in the economic realm. Dr. Paul is the tax payers best friend.

Mike Huckabee has done some great things to protect families.... but he has not been on target on some key issues. Including that he supports FOOD REGULATIONS, BANNING FOODS, SMOKING BANS, OPEN BORDERS, FEDERAL FUNDING FOR ALTERNATIVE FUEL SOURCES, BIG PUBLIC EDUCATION, AND THE SCHIP. While he was Governor he pandered to the Teachers Unions for crying out loud!!! And a few months ago he spoke at the NEA to BRAG about it!!!!!!! I run a political blog, and I compiled (and cited) multiple quotes Mike Huckabee has said about immigration here: http://dhgrassrevolt.wordpress.com/2007/11/07/governor-mike-huckabee-speaks-for-himself-on-immigration/ I am frustrated at the way you simply write off contendors such as Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter. Their campaign has no traction? I wonder whose fault that is? It is solely the fault of people who say their campaign has no chance. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Get behind the RIGHT candidate and MAKE him electable. That's the way it works. And note, if the GOP nominates a moderate (or exposed as one), the GOP will likely lose. Moderates do not win. The GOP seems to forget that a VAST majority of the country is conservative, and the more consistently conservative a candidate is, the better chance they have. Ronald Reagan anyone? "Too Conservative for America" Ronald Reagan? Duncan Hunter has opposed the LOST, and recently led an attack on it. He is an expert on national security. He has led battles to defend parental educational rights. He is anti-big-public education. And he is considered the "father of the border fence" Does his campaign have enough traction? Not at the moment, but as Fred Thompson has declined, Duncan Hunter has made his way up. Ann Coulter believes in him and has already promised to vote for him. MIchael Reagan thinks Duncan is the most like his father of anyone in the race. This is a man to get behind. Look him up.

Amendment 10
Posted On: 11/08/07 03:13:28 PM Age 28, TN
Janet, Knowing you personally, I'm really disappointed with your support for Huckabee. The LAST thing we need is another big government socialist leader. Like it or not, the economy is a moral issue. Think of how many times the Bible condemns and warns those that oppress the poor! The Federal Reserve system exists to oppress the poor/middle class and suck the wealth upwards to a select few. I wonder if you've read the Constitution lately? You know how Amendment 10 states "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Guess what? That means the STATE and LOCAL governments are supposed to do most of the legislation you want to see, not the Federal government. Period. Ron Paul is a strict constructionist. Huckabee is not. It's that simple. Hope you someday come to realize the importance of the rule of law... it's where a free society under God starts. I think people are sick of big government Democrats and Republicans. Go Ron, go!

This is an amazing article, amazing in the sense that Janet is doing what she is titled the article. The problem is there is deception in here methods. To say that Ron Paul is an evolutionist and for legalizing drugs and prostituion is a lie. Just because there are some libertarians who think this way does not make Ron Paul one of them. Janet, we know you want Huckabee in office, he is pro life and against gay marriage, we get that, but please stop putting out false information in order to get what you want. It is anti Christian and shameful.
