Calling ‘Em Like I see ‘Em

Calling ‘Em Like I see ‘Em

Writing a commentary is not an easy thing.  It is a real challenge to say things in a way that creates images in the mind of the reader.  Choosing the proper words, in the proper framing, in the proper sequence is crucial in eliciting a response in the reader.  I don’t write just to write.  I want the reader to FEEL what I say.  It is a labor of love, but it takes hours to construct.

A successful commentary touches the heart.  Amen Coach.”  Or “Go to hell, you bigot.” That’s what I hope readers are saying as they read the oozing of my heart.

Today’s commentary will be different and will unveil a side of me that many of you have never had the opportunity to hear.

Recently I did an interview with Bob and Geri Boyd hosts of the national radio program Issues In Education.   They have given their lives to alerting Americans to the dangers of our “public” schools.  We are in the mess we are in because of what we have allowed our schools to become.

Take it from me.  I spent 28 years in those Synagogues of Satan.  I and millions of “Christian” teachers are responsible for not speaking up long ago.  Nothing will undo the damage my “working within the system” has caused.  I can only strive to declare the Truth to those who are willing to listen.  American education is a mess.  We have failed our kids.

I am not paid to write my columns and no one controls what I can or cannot say.  I am in nobody’s pocket. I boldly declare the Truth as the Lord allows me to see it.

So, rather than WRITE about the problems in the public schools, Bob and Geri gave me the opportunity to TALK about them.  I WARN YOU.  IF YOU ARE A DEFENDER OF GOVERNMENT SCHOOLING THIS AUDIO WILL MAKE YOU UNEASY.  IT MIGHT BE BEST THAT YOU NOT LISTEN.

But if you are on a search for Truth I ask you to take 28 minutes and listen.  I believe it is “The Coach” at his finest.  Ignore the raspy Coach’s voice, and overlook the speed at which my jaws flap.  If my writings have touched your heart, then you owe it to yourself to open your ear gate and HEAR the Truth.

It will be my easiest column ever, free of worry about miss-placed modifiers, punctuation, and creating word pictures with vowels and consonants.  Allow your heart to hear me “call’em as I see ‘em.”   Thanks to the Boyd’s for their faithfulness in the fight and for giving me the megaphone to trumpet the Truth.

Download it to your I-pod.  Send copies to your friends.  Let me say what you feel in your heart.  We must spread the Truth.

Warning:  Fasten your seat-belt.  “Truth is Hate to those who hate Truth.”

This is in response to the rightly objection of the ACLU and the religious leaders that use Romans Chapter 13 to allow the public schools to disregard scriptural teachings. There are basically two sets of laws that we can allow to govern our lives: 1)political law, and 2)Common law (God's law). Unfortunately, the Constitution provides for political law to be the supreme law of the land (See Article VI). Roman's chapter 13 does not set a mandate for civil authority to override the higher authority of God. Jesus said render under to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's. We are not to render unto Caesar (the State) what is God's. Children beglong to God, and the monies pursuant to raising them; therefore these shall not be rendered unto Caesar (the State). Supreme court judges are making judgments based on political law, such as in the case of abortions. The Constitution could be ammended to make Common Law (God's Law) the law of the land, or non violent non compliance can be exercised by the affected parties in the case of the public schools. The words of the Apostles from the Book of Acts was, "Should we obey God or man?" George Cancilla

I wish Coach Dave would deal a little more with the reality of his removal from coaching. Here are the court transcripts that outline things as they were, including covering player's drinking and drug use, allowing them to selling performance enhancing drugs, etc. // He shares some of the truth, which was about preaching and praying with a public school team, which is not ethical whether we want to agree with it or not, but not nearly all of it. For someone professing truth and righteousness coming to grips with this truth is essential before lambasting everyone else. - http://www.sconet.state.oh.us/rod/newpdf/12/2004/2004-ohio-914.pdf - I always know someone is not dealing with reality when they refer to themselves in the third person as he does here - it's an incredible sign of arrogance and delusion.// You also never see him without his baseball hat, even with a suit on preaching - why is that? Maybe to sell more hats? // I know this is a personal critique of Coach Dave - but he is at a point where when he speaks it, it automatically becomes fact and I don't think he has anybody giving him any real constructive feedback - if they do, they are dismissed as evil and ignored - not always the case Dave. // His writings on this site have a history of wrong headed conclusions and misrepresentations.

Christians need to be thoroughly committed to raising their children up in the way in which they should go--that is, to Christ. We may send our children off for academic learning while teaching the scriptures at home and in church houses; but when those places impede and distract from the Scriptural training to Christ, then it is the duty of the parents to remove their children from those places. Public schools may have been questionable prior to the law that forbade speaking of God or Christ in the public schools, but since then, it should have been the duty of every professing Christian to remove their children from those schools. Did it happen? Not hardly. George Cancilla

so you support denying education and knowledge to another human being because it contradicts your own ideology? Thats a fabulous way to set your kids up for a productive life in the modern world. you may not like everything in the world today, fair enough thats your call (theres plenty of stuff im not so keen on either). But to limit another person because of that?! This "limiting of experience" is exactly what secularists are accused of by xtians on a regular basis. Ok, so teach your kids xtianity at home, no-one can stop you. But a lot more goes on in schools than this perceived "liberal brainwashing" that people are so irrationally afraid off. Besides, isnt it up to the individual (including your children) to find their own way?
